THE 2019/2020 SEASON IS BACK THIS FRIDAY NIGHT !
The Townsville North Star Athletics Club Committee would like to welcome all our returning families along with all our new members and those wanting to "Come and Try" Athletics.
We expect this week to be very busy and we ask that you arrive early, especially if you need to collect registration bibs/membership bags, have any questions or are coming along for a Come and Try and need to sign in. We will be ready from 5pm to assist you.
These Athlete and Parent Education Program meets before the school holidays will not go towards our season club points. First club points night will be Friday May 3.
To help everyone, here are some tips:
Registered Season Club Member – new and old members can register online or at any of our Friday night Home Meets. If you have registered online, rego bibs and Membership packs will be available for collection from the
Registration office. You will need to collect your pack, if not already done so, so you have your registration number to be able to compete.
👕 Uniform – new uniforms haven’t arrived just yet but you will have the opportunity to pre-order for their arrival sometime before our first club meet (club points meet) on Friday night, May 3.
Come and Try (Visitor) Participants – new athletes can register as a Visitor on Friday night before the Meet. When you arrive we ask that you head to the Registration office beside the finish line where we will mark you off and inform you of your age groups. Our 2019 Information Pack & Season Handbook will be available to help explain how Townsville North Star Athletics club works and answer any questions you may have.
ℹ️ IMPORTANT: We would like to remind everyone that an adult MUST REMAIN AT THE SPORTS RESERVE during the competition, we refer to our Parent Participation Policy. Ideally you be able help out in the age group with the running of the events by retrieving the shot/discus, spiking, raking sand for long/triple jump or returning the bar at high jump. By being involved you are able to support and cheer your child as they participate.
If you HAVEN’T SIGNED UP AS A VISITOR you will not be allowed to participate! (Insurance purposes) Should you require help registering please arrive early to allow time to register with the help of a committee member prior to the commencement of the meet.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Reminder for parents if you have any spare time to volunteer in any form this week it
would be greatly appreciated.
Easy jobs such as helping with setup in the afternoon (4pm onwards), canteen assistance anytime during the evening especially with canteen setup, and also with their children’s age groups at field events.
